Currently a Director of TAV Houston and Head Coach of Concordia Lutheran High School, Branden is a 23+ year veteran volleyball coach from California. Branden Smeltzer has successfully coached both boys and girls volleyball and is one of few coaches to have coached a team to an undefeated record of 22-0 during the Junior Boys National Championships earning him and his team an Open Gold Medal in the 15U Open Division. Branden also coached a 17U team to a Bronze medal at the Junior Boys National Championships. He has qualified 18 teams over the years for the USAV Jr National Championships. Smeltzer was also the head coach at West Torrance High School, qualifying for playoffs in the southern California region five out of the seven years he was there, earning coach of the year honors his third and fifth year. Branden has been responsible for coaching more than 50 players that currently play, or played at the D1/D2 collegiate level at schools such as Stanford, USC, UCLA, OU and more. Several players eventually ended up playing, or practicing for the US National Team. Branden is also an experienced business professional, a father of three amazing young ladies and is married to a very beautiful and patient wife.
